JumpStart

  1. Talent identification program for athletes
    7-12 years of age, Levels 1-8.
  2. Includes both tumbling and trampoline
  3. A separate boys' team is names
  4. State and Regional Chairs will be
    activly involved in the promotion of
    the JumpStart Program.
  5. State Testing-October 3-4, Hosted by Horizon Gymnastics.
  6. National Testing-January 29-31, Site TBD

Elite Development Program (EDP)

  1. Acts as a bridge between JumpStart and
    the Elite Level.
  2. Includes both tumbling and Trampoline
  3. Level 10 athltes, ages 9-14 and Level 9 athletes, ages 9-12,
    who competed at J.O. Championships 2009.
  4. EDP Camp in October; Any athlete level 9-10 who
    competed at the 2009 National Championships
    is eligible to attend the EDP Camp, October 8-11th.
  5. From the EDP camp some athletes will be invited
    to the Spring Classic.  Based on the camp and the
    Spring Classic results the EDP Team will be named.
  6. The EDP National Team will be attending one
    international meet to represent the USA.
  7. At the Spring Classic Level 9's will compete
    a modified Level 10 routine and Level 10's will
    compete a modifed Elite routine.  This meet is open
    to all Level 9's and 10's.
  8. Age for the Spring Classic will be determined by
    the gymnasts age as of theend of this year (12/31/09)

      Two-skill sequences will be judged based upon performance, height, and amplitude. The overall performance of the entire skill sequence will be given a score valued between 1 and 10. See Trampoline Judging Guidelines.

      *Prep skills - these skills will be judged, but no performance scores will be given.

      2. 3/4 Front straight, return to feet
      3. Back straight, Straddle jump
      11-12
      1. Back tuck, Barani tuck
      2. 3/4 Front Straight, Ballout tuck

      Tumbling Skill Sequences

      2. Power hurdle roundoff back handspring block to raised mat
      3. Power hurdle roundoff three back handsprings, back tuck
      11-12
      1. Power hurdle roundoff back handspring, back tuck to raised mat
      2. Power hurdle roundoff three back handsprings, whip, hollow landing with run back

      11-12
